I was sitting on the porch this morning reading my I was sitting on the porch this morning reading my Bible and this verse really stood out to me “The simple believe anything, but the prudent give thought to their steps.” (Proverbs 14:15) It just hit a little different, especially with everything going on right now. The media is loud, social media is loud, everybody has an agenda and it feels like the whole goal is to keep us at each other’s throats. And honestly, if we’re not careful, it’s so easy to get caught up in it. But this verse reminded me… we’re not supposed to get our truth from the media or from whatever the algorithm is feeding us. We have to go back to the word of God. That’s where discernment comes from. That’s where wisdom comes from. And if we’re not in the word, if we’re not grounded in it, then we’re wide open to being deceived. Discernment is one of the greatest gifts God gives us in times like these, but we can’t walk in it if we don’t know his voice. So I guess this is me just reminding myself (and maybe you too), open your bible more than you open the news app. Trust his word more than you trust your feed. #biblicaltruth #biblicalwisdom #christianlifestyle #biblicalwomanhood

I’ve been mulling this over a lot lately, and duri I’ve been mulling this over a lot lately, and during my Bible time this morning Mark 12 : 28‑34 jumped off the page. I’ve read it before, but today it hit different. Jesus puts staggering weight on one word—love. We toss that word around like loose change, yet God calls us to love in a way that’s costly, intentional, and unmistakable. Judging by the division we see—even inside the church—you’d think we forgot what love looks like. Division is everywhere—online, at work, even in the pews—but that was never God’s design. When asked for the greatest commandment, Jesus answered: 👉Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. 👉Love your neighbor as yourself. “There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12 : 30‑31) He didn’t mention denominations, politics, flawless church attendance, or resume-worthy works. Without love, the rest is just noise (1 Cor 13 : 1‑3). Love Is Non‑Negotiable. And here's why... 1. It fulfills the whole law. “All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matt 22 : 40) Paul echoes it: “Whoever loves others has fulfilled the law… Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” 2. Real disciples are measured by love, not agreement “By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13 : 34‑35) 3. Unity was Jesus’ dying wish for us “I pray… that they may all be one, just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You.” (John 17 : 20‑23) 4. Hatred exposes a counterfeit faith “Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar.” (1 John 4 : 20‑21) It’s natural to withhold love from enemies or from those who dismiss us. But Jesus asks, “If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? True Christians are called to be set apart—we pull away from fleshly habits and live the way Jesus told us to: Love God wholeheartedly.
